What happens to my personal information once I submit it to Acadia University?

Information about you as a donor to Acadia University is kept confidential. Acadia University does not sell, rent or exchange our donor information with anyone.

How will my credit card transaction be processed?

If you have chosen to make a donation by credit card online, the transaction will be processed immediately via an online verification service.

If you have chosen to make a donation by credit card by other means (e.g. mail, phone) an authorized representative of Acadia University will handle the transaction. If there is any difficulty completing the transaction, you will be contacted at the phone number you supply.

What steps are taken by Acadia University to ensure my personal information is not seen or used by unauthorized sources?

Acadia University uses recognized security protocols to insure your personal information is not intercepted by unauthorized sources. We implement an encryption technology (SSL) that is used by most banks and financial institutions to ensure that sensitive information cannot be read while being transferred on the internet.

Additionally, Acadia University does not store your credit card information in an electronic format (e.g. a database) that is accessible by internet traffic.
